I am beyond excited to be writing my first blog post on corsetry. So many thoughts are swimming through my head, but before any other posts can be written I thought it fitting to start with the basics.

I recently started waist-training. (blog post to come soon) with Glamorous Corset. It is the secret under my outfits and the foundation garment to help cultivate a curvaceous look. I have been seasoning (yes that is important! see insert below) and wearing this particular corset 4-5 days a week.

***seasoning a corset is vital to the success of waist-training, wearing a corset comfortably, and maintaining the integrity of the corsets fabric and boning. The Jolie Short Black Cotton underbust corset helps to waist-train and create the bombshell silhouette reminiscent of the 1950’s. This particular corset sits lower on the hip which helps to slightly pad out the hip area and further emphasize the waist.

As with most underbust corsets (which simply means it sits under the breast instead of over) there is a slight boost to the bust as the boning helps to push the ladies up and hold them there.

Glamorous Corset wants you to feel confident while wearing your beautiful corset. They  make both short and long torso corsets to accommodate to different body shapes. If you are unsure which would be best for you; you can send them your torso measurements for a proper product recommendation.
